Araw Ng Kagitingan

Araw Ng Kagitingan, Every year, Philip Garcia returns to the Philippines and visits Bataan as part of his advocacy to preserve the memory of one of the greatest and most tragic battles fought in our countrys soil. Although he is now an American citizen who works in Singapore, this has not stopped him from his advocacy and he is part of an organization based in the United States which is known as the Philippine Scouts Heritage Society (PSHS). The PSHS is composed of surviving Filipino and American members of the old Philippine Scouts which was a US Army unit that was originally set up as a counterinsurgency force during the early 20th Century but faced its greatest test fighting a doomed battle against the Japanese at Bataan.Continue Reading...
